We like pop culture and we like it fresh. Also, we couldn't think of a better name for this blog. Like most of America, we have something of a pop culture addiction. We want to know the latest rumors, see the newest trailers and let people know what we think about all things entertainment, from Hollywood to Nashville to New York City.
Features editor and TV guru Mariah Mercer gets her kicks from sci-fi and fantasy shows (she is desperately seeking a legal download of the "Battlestar Galactica" version of "All Along the Watchtower" and will admit only under duress that she actually writes fanfic for "Buffy," "Angel," "Roswell," and, lately, "Moonlight" and "New Amsterdam"). News editor and movie buff Joel Sensenig is a little more diverse and discerning in his tastes.
Staff writer Chandra Niklewski is super-obsessed with "Supernatural" and those Winchester boys (no one is trying to talk her out of naming her next son "Dean") while administrative assistant Joan Nelson is the reality TV nut of the office (seriously, someone please discuss "Dancing with the Stars" with her, please).
"Family Guy" makes staff writer and cartoon gal Stephany Schings laugh and cry. She's such a fan of "The Office" that she helped spearhead our own version of the Dundies, the Reviewees. Last but not least, staff writer Sandra Whitta is still waiting for an owl from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
We'll also post about the local arts and entertainment scene - bands, artists, concerts, shows, anything that piques our interest. Stay tuned, hang out and send in your own thoughts.
Fading to black (for now)...
