You may have read Chris Morit's column the other day, giving his take on Phil Taylor's Sports Illustrated column regarding things that are cool in sports.
Unfortunately, there are more than a few things that are more than a bit annoying in sports, too.
I'll start with Ohio State fans who come up with every reason other than lousy play to rationalize their football team's losses.
Then there's ESPN's never-ending glamorization of anything and everything Yankees or Red Sox.
How about Steelers fans living in Browns territory?
Whatcha think about football players who celebrate routine tackles in relatively unimportant situations as though they'd just saved the game?
I'm irked by seeing the totally worthless Kid Rock getting comped -- and worse yet, getting his mug on TV -- at important sporting events.
OK, I've vented, and the floor is open for both sides. What things do you think are cool and uncool in sports?

Some uncool things in sports...
Athletes, retiring, unretiring, retiring, unretiring...hear me Brett Favre?
Beanball in baseball games? What's the point? Does someone have to be beaned so badly they are disabled before these guys wake up?
Fans who constantly are on an offical or umpire, especially at little league or youth events? What, do you think they'll change the call for you? Sit down, watche the game and tell your kids they aren't going to get every call.
Football receivers who think they are bigger than the game, Chad Johnson, TO, Randy Moss, Jeremy Shockey. How can a player who only can impact 8-10 plays a game think they are the most important player on the team?
Auto Racing, you have all of the these cars going the same direction at a high speed in closed quarters, yet the drivers want to fight when there is an accident???
Some things that are cool...
A walk off home run in a baseball game.
Greg Maddox, the best pitcher of our generation, being highly successful with a mediocre fastball, the ablilty to hit spots and change speeds and not use steroids or HGH
What's really cool is the the abandoment of Barry Bonds. This guy broke the all time home run record just last season, and no one, I mean no one, is even interested in having him play because of his alleged steroid use and miserable personality.

When you're going for a win or a solid finish and you're wrecked don't tell me you wouldn't get angry with that, especially if it's a situation you have no control over. Not to mention the fact that wrecking is not fun, either. So of course they get angry when they get into an accident. It put an abrupt end to their race... they do like to race... and for a good finishing position.
